老年性震颤
Traditional Chinese Medicine Definition
In traditional Chinese medicine, senile tremor is referred to as "Chàn Zheng," a category of disease associated with aging. According to the records in "Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine," the definition is: characterized by involuntary tremors of the head and limbs, which is more common in the elderly and often caused by Yin and Liver deficiency, Qi and Blood deficiency, or phlegm and blood stasis blocking the meridians.
In clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine, the core pathogenesis of senile tremor is often related to Yin and Liver deficiency, as well as Qi and Blood deficiency. Common precipitating factors include aging, emotional disorders, and irregular diet. In the process of differentiation, attention should be paid to distinguishing between cold, heat, deficiency, and excess:
1. Yin deficiency with wind stirring syndrome: Patients commonly exhibit limb tremors accompanied by dizziness and dry mouth. The treatment approach for this type is to nourish Yin and subdue Yang, and to calm the tremors.
2. Qi and Blood deficiency syndrome: Patients present with weak tremors, fatigue, and a pale complexion. The treatment approach for this type is to invigorate Qi and nourish Blood, and to calm the tremors and unblock the meridians.
In general, the adjustment for senile tremor should focus on nourishing the Liver and Kidneys, harmonizing Qi and Blood, in order to achieve the effect of calming the tremors. In clinical treatment, traditional Chinese medicine methods such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, and massage should be flexibly applied according to the specific condition.
